Plant Decommissioning & Coal Yard Remediation
As older coal-burning facilities wind down their operations, we assist owners in removing residual coal from these sites with expert and discreet power plant decommissioning services, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible site transitions. Whether finding buyers for the fuel or simply moving it to another of the owner's locations, our turnkey service restores coal yards to fully remediated condition.
By-Product Recycling
We offer sustainable solutions for materials generated throughout the coal lifecycle, minimizing waste and maximizing resource recovery. The liabilities surrounding ash ponds present a unique challenge to utilities. We create positive PR and save shareholders significant dollars by removing ash from facilities and placing it in beneficiated use where possible, avoiding the stigma of landfill solutions.
Coal Purchase and Sales
We are a full service coal brokerage providing solutions to miners, utilities and industrial customers in the Southeast. In addition to negotiating spot and long-term coal supply contracts, we coordinate rail and road logistics for moving coal from the mine to the customer’s facility. Representing mines primarily in the Central Appalachian region, we work with both large and small suppliers to source the optimum coal for our customers. Often, we combine material from smaller mines to complete a sourcing agreement at better pricing, proving the worth of our extensive network of reliable suppliers. In recent years we have worked closely with large Wall Street trading desks to source and complete supply agreements and cover delivery contracts.
